FAQ

A toy library is a place where people can borrow toys and games for a few weeks. It’s just like a regular library but with toys and games. Members of Spotted zebra have a wide
choice of great quality toys from many brands like:

A toy library helps in many ways:

  • Saving money by buying less.
  • Keeping children entertained with new items every few weeks.
  • Gives access to education and connection though play to every budget.
  • Being part of the circular economy and helping the planet by sharing and reusing toys and games.
  • Having an opportunity to try out a toy/game and see if it’s a good fit with your little ones.

We understand that children’s toys get damaged occasionally, and we do not take a charge for minor damage or wear and tear.

There may be a charge for a repair or replacement of an item. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Members are invited to report any damage as early as possible.

It has been found that children get bored with their toys in about 36 days, and sometimes just a few hours. The 3 weeks of borrowing time has been chosen with this in mind, picking a happy medium.

There may be an opportunity to renew the borrowing time of an item when the time comes.

I can also speak from experience that the idea of getting new toys was always a great motivation to bring the others back. Like “Christmas/birthday every time!”
